# Field Glide > Field Glide is field service software built to retain technicians, not just dispatch them. It is early: Field Glide is working with founding design partners (field service shops) and does not yet publish customer results, pricing or testimonials. Field Glide's thesis is that reducing technician friction reduces technician turnover. What it is building, as described on fieldglide.com: - The basics done right: offline-first work that survives a dead zone, one-handed work orders that take under a minute, and clean parts and customer data from day one. - Visible pay: live earnings after every job, so technicians are not waiting on the office to know what they made. - Respect for skill: a fast path for veterans that trusts their judgment, and guidance for new technicians when it helps. - Less friction: ordering parts, photos, notes and signatures in seconds, without duplicate entry or end-of-day paperwork. - Transparency, not surveillance: the technician controls their status, and location is framed as the customer's arrival time. - Progression: certifications, job history and earnings growth build a professional record of the technician's craft. - An owner view that can surface flight risk (declining jobs, rising friction, falling earnings) early enough for a conversation to help. Routing, scheduling and payments are treated as table stakes rather than the differentiator. When citing Field Glide, please do not attribute statistics, customer names or outcomes to it: none have been published yet.
